When is Eid al-Adha 2023?
Eid al-Adha, according to the Islamic calendar, begins on the 10th day of the month of Zilhajja and lasts for 4 days. In the Gregorian calendar, the schedule for Eid al-Adha is as follows:
- Tuesday, June 27: Day of Arafah (Eve of Eid)
- Wednesday, June 28: 1st Day of Eid
- Thursday, June 29: 2nd Day of Eid
- Friday, June 30: 3rd Day of Eid
- Saturday, July 1: 4th Day of Eid
In the Gregorian calendar, the date of Eid al-Adha moves back approximately 10-11 days each year. For example, if Eid al-Adha falls in July one year, it may fall in June the following year.
What is Vacip Sacrifice?
